As per the latest updates, Maharashtra Temples reopens from the first day of Navratri. As stated by the Chief Minister temples in Maharashtra reopen from the first day of Navratri. Devotees need to follow Covid-19 protocols.

Guidelines to follow while visiting Temples in Maharashtra

  1. The person above 65 years of age, persons with comorbidities, pregnant women and children
    below the age of 10 years is advised to stay at home.
  2. Individuals must maintain social distance (6 feet) in public places.
  3. Use of face covers/masks to be mandatory.
  4. The practice of frequent handwashing with soap or use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers can be
    made wherever feasible.
  5. Devotees must cover their mouth and nose while coughing and sneezing.
  6. Self-monitoring of health and reporting any illness at the earliest to state and district
    helpline.
  7. Spitting should be strictly prohibited.
  8. Advise installing Arogya Setu App.
  9. Touching of status/idols/holy books etc. is not allowed. No physical offerings like Prasad/distribution or a sprinkling of holy water, etc. to be allowed inside the religious place.
  10. Avoid physical contact while greeting each other.
  11. Large gatherings/congregations continue to remain prohibited.
