  • Pooja time – 7:15 AM to 9:00 AM12:00 PM to 1:15 PM, and  6:00 PM to 6:45 PM

Note – No Darshan during Pooja Timing.

  • General Darshan Timing – 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Darshan Timing – 1:15 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Darshan Timing – 6:45 PM to 9:00 PM

The Srirangam RanganathaSwamy Temple is on an island surrounded by Kaveri and Kollidam river.  It is 12 km north of the city of Tiruchirappalli. The temple is 325 km from Chennai.

The temple is enclosed by 7 concentric walls (termed prakarams (outer courtyard) or mathil suvar) with a total length of 32,592 feet or over six miles.

Who built Shri RanganathaSwamy Temple?

It cannot be exactly claimed who built the RanganathaSwamy Temple. It was first initiated by thondaman raja.

But later on, Sriman Narayana appeared in the dreams of 44th azhagiya shingar jeeyar swami of ahobilam mutt and told the jeeyar swami to complete the less than half-built raja gopuram which is the main gopuram of Srirangam temple.
