Places To Visit In Jaipur

Rajasthan the city of Giant forts and havelis. It is located in the northern part of India. It is also the largest state of India and seventh largest by population. The great Indian dessert is located in Rajasthan  and also shares the border with Pakistan. Rajasthan was also called rajputana.

This was a little description about the city, now if you are planning to visit Rajasthan you must plan a trip for a 4-5 atleast. There are many places to visit in Rajasthan which you cannot afford to miss going to.

Day 1

You must start with the Jaipur city. Jaipur also known as the pink city. And it is also the major tourist destination of Rajasthan. Getting down at Jaipur Railway junction, you can stay at Shri Panchayati Dharamshala or Banipark Dharmarth Sansthan.

After settling from the journey it is time to start exploring the pink city. Jantar Mantar is the best place to start with. It is UNESCO World Heritage site. It  is a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments.

Then Hawa Mahal is the second place to visit. The name itself suggests the idea of the place. It is known as Place of winds or Place of breeze.

Then the third place to visit is the Albert hall musuem. There is a collection of Paintings, Aircraft’s, Metal Sculptures. These are the places where you can spend minimum of 3-4 hours each and enjoy the beauty of the place.

Day 2

After spending a long day visiting three different places in Jaipur, there are still some places left to visit in Jaipur and you will be spending the second day in Jaipur only.

Jaigrah Fort is the place where you can start your day. It is also Known as the hill of  Eagles. The fort have a cannon named as  “Jaivana Cannon” and is the world’s largest cannon on the wheels. The fort also has a museum and Armory. From the fort one can get the excellent view of  Arravali Hills and also can get the view of the Amer Fort.

Then Amer Fort it is 400 m below the Jaigrah Fort. Both the places are nearby and can be visited in just 4-5 hours and then you can continue your journey to the City Palace . The city Palace was the Palace of the Maharana Udai Singh.

Day 3

On day 3 after visiting the best places of Jaipur now you can visit the great temples of the Jaipur. The Birla mandir is one of them, the beautiful structure of the temple describes the beauty in every possible way and it is also one of the best place for sightseeing. After visiting temple you can spend enough of time relaxing and enjoying the beauty of lush gardens. This temple is one of the finest temples of India. The second place is  Digamber Jain Temple of Sanghji.

It is an Ancient temple made from red stones. This is the place where you can get peace and relaxation in the religious environment. After visiting all these places the journey of the Pink city ends with joy and pleasure. After spending time in Jaipur you can go to Ajmer and spend the night there and can start the journey from the morning after having a good breakfast in Ajmer. Mughal food is speciality of Ajmer.

Day 4

Ajmer is located in the centre of the Rajasthan. It is the the base for visiting Pushkar. Adhai Din Ka Johpra is a mix example of  mix of Indian, Hindu, Muslim and Jain architectures. It is one of the oldest mosques in India, and the oldest surviving monument in Ajmer. It was Originally a  Sanskrit college with a temple of Saraswati within it, Later it was converted into a Mosque. You can spend a night in the Ajmer and next morning you can visit Pushkar. Pushkar is 14 km from Ajmer.

Day 5

Pushkar is the town in the Ajmer district. The pushkar fair is the most famous Cattle, Horse, and Camel fair of the country. You need a day to visit pushkar. Pushkar is the place with the only temple of Lord Bramha in the world. It was built in the 14 th century. Pushkar has 500 temples. After visiting the pushkar temple you can visit the Pushkar lake which is nearby the temple. It is surrounded by the 52 bathing ghats.
