Dwarkadhish Temple will remain closed from 10-14 August 2020
The famous Dwarkadhish Temple at the Dwarka district of Gujarat will remain closed for the devotees on Janmashtami this year. The temple will remain close for four days from 10th August to 14th August. They decided to close the temple as a precaution to stop the spread of Corona due to large gatherings.
Dwarka is one of the most important temples for Krishna devotees. A large number of devotees visit the Dwarkadhish Temple on Janmashtami every year. As per the rough estimate, 1.50 lakh devotees were expected on the day of Janmashtami at Dwarka.
Devbhoomi Dwarka district collector NK Meena said it is not possible to control lakhs of devotees even with the pass system. Pass System is capable to accommodate only 10,000 devotees per day.
The Pujari will perform the Prayers and Aarti inside the temple followed by all the rituals. The entire rituals will have live streaming on Social Media. You can check the live streaming of Dwarkadhish Temple on Janmashtami Night on our FaceBook Page.
This is happening for the first time in the history that the Dwarkadhish Temple will be closed on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. However, it is good for everyone’s health as Corona is spreading limitlessly these days in Gujarat and across the country.
